We believe dyslexia is simply a challenge to be met and overcome: a purely
functional barrier that stands between you and your goals and ambitions.
At Dyslexia Consultants, our mission is to support you as you pull that barrier down: as you put dyslexia to one side, and make the most of your
life.
We provide the means – the knowledge, experience and solutions
– to help you achieve, regardless of age.
We’ve already
helped people from all walks of life, from schoolchildren to emergency service workers and global management teams.
With Aberdeenshire-based Dyslexia Consultants you get: - an assessment programme recognised by the British
Psychological Society for psychometric and educational purposes
- practising membership of Dyslexia Scotland and a track record in specialist dyslexia teaching
- a recommended range of products and services that
are tailored to suit your individual requirements.
More than that,
however, we understand dyslexia. As a family business, we have direct personal experience of tackling it: of setting goals
and then achieving them. So for us it’s more than a profession: it’s a passion.

Packs of 10 (any combination of colours) £25.75
When to use full sized coloured overlays
Coloured
overlays in A4 size can be preferable to the smaller, more convenient reading rulers in a number of cases, either where factors
of age (elderly or young), dyspraxia, or other disability cause co-ordination problems which make it difficult to move a reading
ruler down the page to track text; or when both hands are engaged while text or other representations are being followed.
Common examples of this use of tinted overlays are sheet music and knitting or other machining patterns. Overlays can easily
be cut in half to use with smaller pages.

Pack of 10 Mixed colours for £14.75 The EYE LEVEL READING RULER is a flexible transparent coloured overlay text highlighter
about the size of a six-inch ruler that will fit easily into a pocket or pencil case, or can be kept in the pages of a book
as a bookmark. Discreet, the reading ruler is made of a combination of opaque and transparent plastic that both underlines
the text and highlights it in a coloured tint. Simply read the text through either of the tinted plastic strips of your selected
colour, and track down the page: broad strip for paragraphs; narrow strip for single lines.
